The year 2008 has become history in the twinkling of an eye, and we have stepped into the year 2009 before we realize it. The year 2008 is an extraordinary year to test Chinese people. After the training, based on my actual work, I think a highly efficient management team and excellent individuals supplement and relate closely to each other. They have following points in common. 1. Good working mentality One’s working mentality determines efficiency and quality of his work. Unstable mood, too many thoughts and heavy burden will lead to distraction, decrease of working efficiency, lazy work style, low quality of work and finally quit his job. The team should active encourage and help the individual build up confidence and establish a correct working mentality instead of leaving him alone. The team should closely bind each of its members, for all members are making contributions to the team. 2. Capability of putting yourself in others’ shoes Each one has different responsibilities and faces different problems. Therefore, while we are considering a problem, we should learn to put ourselves in others’ shoes, think for others and take care of others. Only in this way can a team have more humanity, and members can work more closely with each other. 3. Effective communication Let the team know the thoughts, plans and working needs of everyone. Only in this way can work be assisted with specific purpose and a problem be solved in more ways, which can be a best conclusion when combined. Communication, more importantly, enhances mutual affection and trust. 4. Correct working method This is based on effective communication of the team. The scheme discussed should be a correct method. Wrong method will lead to failure at last, and different method will produce different efficiency and different quality. The importance lies in emphasis on every detail. 5. Complete work plan This is required for every member of a team. A complete work plan is like a navigator, which enables you to have a good schedule, avoid being in a flurry and improve working efficiency. 6. Active work This is also a manifestation mode of working attitude. Many works have to be done actively by finding solutions independently and then carrying them out. A lot of works can be done without arrangement by your manager. It is not good to be always in a passive working status. This is also a method to assess one’s thinking model and work. 7. Voluntary collaboration We should make our best effort to help others voluntarily and facilitate completion of the team’s work instead of hoeing one's own potatoes. The team has greater power than individuals, because the power of highly efficient collaboration is not negligible, though there might be personal sacrifices in the process. However, many things can only be done with the power of a team, so it is worthwhile to make personal sacrifices in order to succeed. 8. Unified thinking and action One working method, work plan and working methods of a team have been decided, every member of the team should unify their thinking and action and make their best effort. 9. Proper execution As the direct leader of a team, one should have proper execution and clearly discriminate rewards and punishments. When difference in opinion occurs, he should have the decision-making power, play the role of core leadership, closely bind the team and point out the way ahead. 10. Clear common goal All details of work serve for one ultimate goal. A team must have a clear goal, and every member should know what the common goal is and then strive for it. 11. Summary (improvement) of working methods The last item is to analyze, conclude and improve method. After the team achieves the common goal, we will reflect the knowledge we have learnt in the whole process of work and anything to improve and anything to maintain for dealing of problems. This is the best way to accumulate experience, and can promote rapid growth of individuals and the team. With analysis above, we believe outstanding individuals must be based on establishment of a highly effective management team, only a highly effective management team can bring up excellent individuals.
